This FOA will utilize the Research Project Grant (R01) mechanism and runs in parallel with FOAs of identical scientific scope, PA-09-018, that encourages applications under the Small Research Grant (R03) mechanism and PA-09-019, that encourages applications under the NIH Exploratory/Developmental (R21) grant mechanism.Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards.
