The goal of the ANA Family Preservation Program Announcement (PA) is to increase the well-being of children through family preservation activities; increase the percentage of children who are raised in a healthy environment free of child abuse and neglect; increase the percentage of youth and young adults who have the skills and knowledge to make informed decisions about healthy relationships; increase the percentage of couples who are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to form and sustain healthy relationships and marriages; increase the percentage of children who are raised by two parents in a healthy family environment that is also free of domestic violence; increase the percentage of involvement by absentee parents in the lives of their children, increase public awareness in communities about the value of healthy families, relationships, marriages and responsible fatherhood; and encourage and support research on healthy families, relationships, marriages and healthy marriage education. |
