The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) are offering a grant for research on nonhuman primate (NHP) models of kidney and islet transplantation. The grant aims to evaluate immune tolerance induction regimens, understand tolerance mechanisms, and improve long-term graft survival in clinical transplantation. The grant supports participation in the Nonhuman Primate Transplantation Tolerance Cooperative Study Group (NHPCSG) program, specifically focusing on NHP islet and kidney transplantation models.
