The SMART Office is offering the Fiscal Year 2009 Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program to assist state and tribal jurisdictions in implementing the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) requirements under the Adam Walsh Act. This grant aims to support the development and enhancement of programs related to sex offender registration, maintenance, and compliance with SORNA regulations, including the creation and maintenance of sex offender registries, ensuring sex offenders register and provide required information in each jurisdiction, and participating in the Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website. Applications are accepted until March 30, 2009.
