The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT) is offering grants for innovative projects promoting science and technology in historic preservation. These grants fund the development or adaptation of technologies to preserve cultural resources through research, training activities, documentation, and dissemination of innovative preservation technologies. Projects must not focus on traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ projects. Grants are awarded competitively with a maximum of $25,000 and require a one-to-one match of cash or in-kind services. Applications for the NCPTT Preservation Technology and Training Grants open on September 1, 2011, and the closing date for submissions is October 17, 2011.
