The Department of Defense’s Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Program (PRCRP) Discovery Award seeks to fund groundbreaking, high-risk/high-reward cancer research projects. Projects should introduce novel theories and methods, backed by strong scientific rationale, to lay the foundation for future investigations. Applications must focus on innovative approaches to tackle blood cancers, colorectal cancer, genetic cancer, kidney cancer, melanoma, and more. Incremental advances will not be funded. The closing date for applications is October 27, 2011.
