The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is offering the FY 2012 Commercial Motor Vehicle Information Systems & Networks (CVISN) grant to enhance the safety and efficiency of commercial vehicles. This grant aims to assist eligible States in improving the productivity of commercial vehicles and drivers, reducing operational costs, and meeting regulatory requirements. The grant opportunity is in accordance with section 4126 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act. Applicants will be notified of any changes in grant programs due to new authorizing legislation for fiscal year 2012. Deadline for applications is May 02, 2012.
