The Genetic Services Department is offering grants to fund projects supporting comprehensive medical care for individuals and families at risk or affected by Thalassemia. The funded centers will create a model system that includes screening, diagnosis, counseling, education, specialized medical care, and monitoring of medical complications. Collaborations with consumer organizations like the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation and other MCHB-funded programs are encouraged.
