This grant from the FDA aims to support State food testing laboratories in obtaining ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation to enhance the national food safety system. The grant will help laboratories prepare for and maintain accreditation, improving analytical capacity for the FDA and bolstering food supply protection efforts. Data generated by accredited labs will support FDA enforcement actions, surveillance, and responses to foodborne outbreaks. The accreditation will also aid State regulatory programs in meeting Manufactured Food Regulatory Program Standards. Closing Date: Apr 23, 2012.
