This will provide fund for capacity to analyze climate data relative to impacts on fish and wildlife within the Great Plains LCC, integrate existing habitat assessments, model species-habitat relations, and evaluate the potential impacts of land use change management activities, initially focusing primarily on wetland habitats. States are essential partners in providing scientific expertise and technical support to inform landscape-scale conservation designs; one of the primary functions of LCCs. Another primary function of LCCs is building interdependent partnerships that help to develop applied science capacity and shared conservation goals.
