The Department of Energy is offering a grant to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes for the Kerr Hydroelectric acquisition project. This grant provides EMDP funding for assessments, feasibility studies, and planning work related to power marketing, risk management, resource balancing, proforma, hydro plant operations, and maintenance. The grant was previously competitively announced on December 19, 2001, and supports the ongoing development of the hydroelectric project. Closing date for applications is August 31, 2012.
