The USDA is offering the EIPMDSS grant to develop expert systems that enhance USDA supported Integrated Pest Management programs. This grant aims to improve cost benefit analyses, reduce human health risks, and minimize environmental effects from pest management strategies. The selected applicant will contribute to maintaining and communicating IPM research, education, and extension priorities, allow stakeholders access to program outputs, and synthesize program impacts. The EIPMDSS project is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of IPM programs for long-term sustainability. Closing date for applications is Aug 20, 2012.
