The Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) is offering funding for the Transitional Living Program (TLP) and Maternity Group Homes (MGH). The TLPs provide a safe shelter for up to 21 months with various supportive services to help at-risk youth avoid involvement in law enforcement and other systems. MGHs offer parenting instructions and child care in addition to TLP services. The grant covers services like career counseling, medical care, and life skills training, with focuses on transportation, family planning, sex education, and pregnancy prevention. Applications are open until July 10, 2012.
