The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) presents the Community-Based Violence Prevention FIRE Program to support rigorous research and evaluation studies addressing youth violence prevention. The program aims to inform policies and practices in line with the Department of Justice’s mission. Field-initiated studies will be funded to enhance understanding of effective strategies for preventing and reducing violence among youth. This opportunity is authorized under the Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2012. Closing date for applications is June 28, 2012.
