The US Fish and Wildlife Service Region 2 Division of Migratory Birds is offering a grant to support the Veracruz River of Raptors (VRR) project in Mexico. The grant amount is $48,873 for the fall 2012 migration season, with potential funding through 2016. Pronatura Veracruz will conduct raptor migration monitoring and environmental education programs at the Cardel, Veracruz site, which records the largest volume of migrating raptors in North America. This unique opportunity aims to detect long-term population changes for hawks, kites, and vultures. This Single Source award is not open to competitive quotes, in alignment with Department of Interior Guidance (505 DM 2.14).
