The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in collaboration with the Government of Sweden and Duke Energy Corporation are offering the Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development. This funding competition aims to address barriers in providing clean energy services to the agricultural sectors of developing countries. With an anticipated disbursement of $10-$20 million USD, individual awards ranging from $300,000 to $1,500,000 USD will be granted. The period of performance is up to three years, with funding available in the form of grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and collaboration agreements. Closing date for submissions is February 28, 2013.
