The National Science Foundation (NSF) partners with the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) to offer the Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) grant for Design for Assurance research. This grant supports projects focusing on new strategies for architecture, specification, and verification to enhance cybersecurity in semiconductors and systems. The goal is to decrease the likelihood of unintended behavior or access, improve resistance to tampering, and enhance authentication throughout the supply chain. The SaTC grant provides funding of up to $500,000 over three years for innovative research in creating Secure, Trustworthy, Assured and Resilient Semiconductors and Systems (STARSS). Application deadline: March 26, 2014.
