The NMFS-Sea Grant Fellowships in Marine Resource Economics offers two PhD fellowships yearly for students pursuing careers in marine resource economics. Fellows develop quantitative methods for evaluating conservation economics, working on thesis problems under NMFS mentors at NMFS Science Centers or Laboratories. The program aligns with NOAA’s goal to Protect, Restore, and Manage Coastal and Ocean Resources through Ecosystem-Based Management. Closing date for applications is Feb 21, 2014.
