The Department of Defense is offering a grant to conduct a feasibility study on a Next Generation Star Tracker System. This study will include analysis of current and future technical capabilities, proposed architecture options, market analysis, and business strategies. The goal is to determine the feasibility of producing a modular system using domestically-produced CMOS detectors. The technical product of this study will inform the creation of a draft systems requirement document for a Next Generation Star Tracker System. Closing date for applications is Feb 25, 2013.
