This grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) supports community-based violence prevention research and evaluation through the Field-Initiated Research and Evaluation (FIRE) Program. Funding is available for rigorous studies that inform policies and practices in line with the Department of Justice’s mission. Projects should focus on preventing and reducing youth violence and violence exposure at the community level. Applicants must comply with relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 and the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968. The closing date for applications is May 28, 2013.
