This grant is aimed at funding research projects focusing on interventions that target social connectedness and loneliness to prevent and treat Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) and support recovery. The interventions should be based on epidemiologic research and contribute to a cohesive understanding of the role of loneliness in SUDs. Projects can target individuals, families, communities, and utilize telehealth platforms. Emphasis is placed on community-level interventions that address social determinants of health. The goal is to develop practical, cost-effective, scalable, and sustainable solutions for addressing substance use and addiction. Applications are accepted until August 15, 2022.
