The USAID/Uganda Rights and Rule of Law grant is designed to strengthen human rights, empower individuals to assert their rights, and enhance the capacity of duty bearers to provide these rights. This initiative follows a rights-based approach, aiming to transform power relations and promote accountability among duty bearers. By empowering rights holders to demand their freedoms and supporting duty bearers in fulfilling their responsibilities, the program seeks to integrate democracy goals into various sectors. Additionally, the grant will address issues of inequality, exclusion, and discrimination to promote a more just and equitable society. Closing date for applications is October 22, 2013.
