The Bureau of Land Management in Wyoming is offering a grant to conduct dendrochronology research in Whoopup Canyon ACEC. This project aims to establish a fire history for the area by analyzing tree cross sections from past wildfires. By studying the fire regimes in both the canyon and adjacent ridgetops, this research will provide valuable insights into the spatial and temporal variations of fires in the ACEC.
