The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs is offering the American Youth Leadership Program Disability Component grant for public and private non-profit organizations to implement an exchange program for American high school students and educators. The grant aims to provide participants with firsthand knowledge of foreign cultures, leadership development, and community service opportunities. The selected organization will facilitate a three- to four-week exchange program in select countries abroad for 15-25 youth and one to three adult participants from the United States. The program encourages participants to apply their learning to benefit their schools and communities upon returning home. A single cooperative agreement worth approximately $200,000 will be awarded, pending fund availability. Closing date for proposal submission is February 11, 2013.
