This grant is aimed at funding academic exchange activities for underrepresented students in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa. The recipient organization will be responsible for placing approximately 95 foreign students in accredited U.S. institutions, providing travel, enrichment programming, advising, and monitoring. The program focuses on deeper understanding of U.S. higher education, culture, and developing globally-applicable skills. It offers opportunities for approximately 15 emerging student leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa for one semester or academic year participation. The total funding amount is up to $3,485,000 with a closing date of February 15, 2013.
