The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ Office of Citizen Exchanges is offering the FY 2013 SportsUnited: International Sports Programming Initiative grant for public and private non-profit organizations. This grant aims to enhance mutual understanding among youth in select countries across various regions by building the professional capacity of youth sports program designers and managers. The focus is on engaging both male and female youth aged 7-17 and their coaches/administrators in countries from Africa, East Asia, the Pacific, the Near East, North Africa, South Asia, Central Asia, Europe, Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere. Elite athlete or coach training programs are not eligible. Closing date for submissions is Feb 22, 2013.
