Additional Information

Agency Name: Bureau of Land Management
Description: The Bureau of Land Management, Wyoming State Office, intends to award a cooperative agreement with the Wyoming Archaeological Society to provide opportunities for the members of WAS to assist the BLM with the recordation, evaluation, and stabilization of cultural resources. The WAS anticipates that the Office of the Wyoming State Archaeologist (OWSA) will provide the professional supervision and direct all field and laboratory efforts and report preparation for their projects. This is an expansion of their long term association with OWSA to include the BLM. Traditionally WAS has provided logistical and labor support for projects the OWSA staff are conducting. The anticipated length of the project is a 5 year period. The BLM will consider continued funding for the project upon (a) the recipient showing progress satisfactory to the BLM toward program goals and the determination by the BLM that continuation of the program would be in the best interest of the Government or (b) the availability of funds. The total project period for this award will not exceed 60 months.
