This grant supports the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in conducting fisher research and monitoring in the northern Sierra Nevada. The project involves translocating fishers to areas where they no longer exist and studying their responses in a managed forest setting. The collaboration includes the California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW), US Fish & Wildlife Service USFWS), Sierra Pacific Industries, and North Carolina State University (NCSU).
