The USGS grant is supporting research for CESU partners to enhance presence/absence surveys for the endangered California Clapper Rail. The project aims to model occupancy, detect presence in challenging marsh areas, and monitor colonization in new marsh restoration sites using autonomous recording units (ARUs).
