This grant from the USGS aims to fund research contributing to the Global Cropland Area Database at nominal 30m (GCAD30) for 2010 and 1990. Researchers will work on producing four key products: cropland extent area, crop types focusing on 8 major crops, irrigated versus rainfed classification, and cropping intensities such as single, double, triple, and continuous cropping. Applications are accepted until March 18, 2013.
