| Additional Information on Eligibility: | Only private nonprofit organizations certified under § 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 that have successfully completed either a five year initial grant or both a five year initial WBC grant and a five year sustainability WBC grant and that continue to meet the program criteria as provided in the Eligibility section of this announcement may apply for this award. An Applicant must document as part of the narrative proposal that it – 1 Is the same organization that received the prior WBC initial and/or sustainability grants; 2 Continues to be organized and incorporated in the United States, and remains in good standing in the state or territory of incorporation; 3 Is a private not-for-profit or nonprofit corporation with an active 501(c) Federal tax-exempt status certification from the United States Department of Treasury/Internal Revenue Service (a copy of this document must be included in the applicant’s technical proposal); 4 Continues to provide technical assistance to small business concerns owned and controlled by women; 5 Has an established organizational infrastructure with an internal financial management system that meets the standards prescribed in 2 C.F.R., §§ 215.21 – 215.28 (“Uniform Administrative Requirements for Grants and Agreements with Institutions of Higher Education, Hospitals, and Other Non-Profit Organizations.”) The application must include certification verifying that this requirement has been met (i.e., a written statement from a certified public accountant); and 6 Is responsible for hiring, supervising, and employing key staff and maintaining day-to-day management of the WBC. |
