The Department of Environmental Conservation is offering a grant to conduct a hydrogeologic investigation in the Big Bend Reach of the Rio Grande, the lower Pecos River, and the Devil’s River. The grant is intended for Sul Ross State University to study the Edwards Trinity Plateau Aquifer in these regions in west Texas. The research aims to enhance understanding of the aquifer’s dynamics and impact on the surrounding environment. Closing date for applications is July 12, 2013.
