The Department of Refugee Assistance is providing grants for a Refugee Child Care Microenterprise Development Project aiming to offer microenterprise business opportunities to refugee women in the U.S. The project will focus on child care mentoring programs to aid integration into U.S. cultural norms and State Child Care requirements. It will support English language acquisition, educational advancement, and job skill application in a child care provider shortage market. Mentors will assist in establishing agreements with State or county child care offices for eligibility for State/county child care reimbursement.
