The Department of State is offering funding for NGO programs benefitting refugees in Rwanda and Tanzania. Proposals should target vulnerable groups and individuals, with a focus on gender-based violence prevention in Nyaragusu refugee camp in Tanzania, and activities such as camp management, healthcare assistance, water and sanitation, and gender-based violence prevention in Rwanda. Proposals must primarily benefit refugees, with at least 80% of beneficiaries being refugees. Collaborating with UNHCR and local authorities is essential. Closing date for submissions is December 13, 2013.
