The National Cancer Institute is offering grants for feasibility studies to advance cancer-relevant technologies in biospecimen science. The focus is on addressing pre-analytical variations in biospecimen handling to improve downstream molecular analyses. Projects will develop tools and methods to assess sample quality, protect sample integrity, and establish quality control criteria. Suitable for projects with established proof-of-principle and preliminary data. Applications for projects focusing on novel technologies for biospecimen quality assessment are encouraged, while those focusing solely on established technologies will not be reviewed.
