| Description: | -Purpose. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the National Institute Mental Health (NIMH), the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), and the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) invites research to enhance the science of technology transfer, dissemination, implementation, and operational research for evidence-based HIV-prevention interventions in the United States. Gaps in the scientific literature and research opportunities have been identified in a collaborative process involving NIH and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) staff. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Research Project Grant (R01) award mechanism. Applications addressing the scientific aims may also be submitted under the NIH Small Research Grant (R03), the NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant (R21), and the NIMH Clinical Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant (R34) award mechanisms, responding to FOAs PA-06-180, PA-06-181, and PA-06-248, respectively. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. Awards issued under this FOA are contingent upon the availability of funds and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications. |
