The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) is offering a grant for the development of materials specific to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) offenders. The grant aims to support the creation of a white paper outlining recommended best practices for the safe and respectful management of the LGBTI offender population in custody and on community supervision. Applications for this 12-month cooperative agreement are open until January 31, 2013.
