The National Cancer Institute offers the Established Investigator Award (K05) to experienced cancer research scientists focusing on cancer prevention, control, behavioral, and/or population sciences. This grant provides salary support for 25-50% effort, fringe benefits, and annual research-related expenses. Applicants must have a successful independent research funding track record and hold independent R01 research funding related to cancer prevention. U.S. citizens, citizen nationals, or permanent residents with appropriate doctoral degrees are eligible. For-profit and non-profit organizations, universities, colleges, hospitals, and labs can apply. The award duration is 3-5 years and may be renewed once. Applications undergo peer review for funding consideration, and foreign institutions are ineligible. Closing date for submission is January 22, 2009.
