The Arts Department is offering the NEA Challenge America Fast-Track Grant for projects that extend the reach of the arts to underserved populations, focusing on small and mid-sized organizations. Grants support professional arts programming and projects emphasizing the arts’ role in community development. Applicants must engage the public with diverse and excellent art as well as contribute to strengthening communities through the arts. At least one underserved characteristic (geography, ethnicity, economics, or disability) must be present. Projects starting on or after January 1, 2013, are eligible for funding. Application deadline is May 24, 2012.
