A better understanding of the molecular basis by which alcohol increases cancer risk could lead to improved therapeutic approaches and preventative strategies and would provide guidance on safe levels of alcohol consumption. The goal of this program announcement is to stimulate a broad range of research into the mechanisms by which alcohol contributes to carcinogenesis. |
