| Description: | -Purpose. This FOA, issued by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), invites applications from investigators interested in participating with the NICHD in an ongoing multi-center network designed to investigate the safety and efficacy of treatment and management strategies to care for critically ill children, as well as to better understand the pathophysiological bases of critical illness and injury in childhood. The network is called the Collaborative Pediatric Critical Care Research Network (CPCCRN). -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the U10 cooperative agreement mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The NICHD intends to commit approximately $2.5 million in total costs [Direct plus Facilities and Administrative (F&A) costs] in FY2009 to fund up to 6 to 8 new and/or competing continuation awards for CPCCRN clinical sites. |
