The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) is offering the Seeding Collaborative Interdisciplinary Team Science Program to support new investigative teams and research activities in the field of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolic Diseases. Through the Resource Research (R24) grant mechanism, 5-10 projects will be funded to lay the foundation for future collaborative research initiatives. Successful teams will be well-positioned to secure additional funding through NIDDK’s Collaborative Interdisciplinary Research Program. It is anticipated that 5-10 projects will be funded, but because the nature and scope of the proposed research will vary from application to application, it is anticipated that the size and duration of each award will also vary.
