The program emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, especially between basic and clinical investigators, translational research between the laboratory and the clinic and vice versa, inclusion of minority investigators, and inclusion of prevention and behavioral change research. Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Center Core Grants (P30) assistance mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The number of awards will vary from year to year dependent on the funds available, the quality of the applications received, and programmatic priorities.
