The National Science Foundation’s Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program aims to recruit STEM majors and professionals to become K-12 math and science teachers. This grant offers scholarships, stipends, and support for undergraduate STEM majors, post-baccalaureate students, and STEM professionals pursuing teaching credentials. Funding is provided for master’s degree programs leading to teacher certification and professional development for Master Teachers in high-need school districts. Capacity Building Projects are also supported to enhance teacher preparation programs. Applicants commit to teaching in high-need K-12 school districts as part of the program requirements. Closing date for applications is March 26, 2012.
