The Office of Naval Research is offering the Minerva Research Initiative grant to support university-based social science research focusing on strategic importance to U.S. national security policy. This DoD-sponsored program aims to enhance the Department’s intellectual capital in social sciences, address future challenges, and strengthen ties with the social science community. Through multidisciplinary projects, Minerva fosters collaboration among universities, research institutions, and scholars. The initiative seeks to advance research in specific social science areas and cultivate a transparent relationship between the Department of Defense and the academic community. The closing date for proposals is on Feb 18, 2014.
