These centers maintain specialized colonies of animals, reagents, cultures, and genetic stocks, serving the biomedical research community at local, regional, national, and international levels. The goal is to enhance existing resources and create new ones as needed. Prior consultation with program staff is advised to ensure the proposed resources align with program priorities. Applications to develop and sustain these essential research tools are encouraged until October 7, 2016.
