The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) offers the Second Chance Act Juvenile Offender Reentry Program to help approximately 100,000 released juvenile offenders navigate their transition from detention facilities to their communities successfully. This initiative, authorized by Public Law 110-199, aims to promote public safety by ensuring a smooth reentry process for youth under juvenile court jurisdiction. Eligible settings include juvenile detention centers, juvenile correctional facilities, or staff-secure facilities. Applications for demonstration projects must be submitted by May 14, 2012.
