The Office for Victims of Crime is offering a grant to develop State Victim Assistance Academies (SVAA). Up to six awards of $35,000 are available for creating academically based education and training programs for victim assistance providers, advocates, and allied professionals. Applicants should secure support from state Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) offices. The deadline for applications is February 14, 2012, so early preparation is recommended.
