The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers the Program for Investment in Microentrepreneurs Act (PRIME) to provide training and capacity building grant programs to microenterprise development organizations (MDOs). The program has tracks for Technical Assistance and Capacity Building, funding training and services for disadvantaged microentrepreneurs and development organizations. PRIME aims to support research and establish best practices in the microenterprise field. While the Act includes a third track for research, SBA will not consider applications for it in FY 2011. PRIME has several tracks for which SBA will consider granting awards under this program announcement.
