The U.S. Department of Energy is offering the Solar Utility Networks – Replicable Innovations in Solar Energy (SUNRISE) Grant to support utilities in integrating high levels of renewable energy generation for reliable power system operations. This grant also provides technical assistance for capacity-building in utility-scale photovoltaic planning and installation. Applicants can choose to address Topic A for strategic renewable energy integration or Topic B for PV planning and installation support. The aim is to increase the deployment of renewable energy technologies and make solar energy cost-competitive with traditional sources by 2020. Applications must be submitted through the EERE eXCHANGE website before the closing date on May 01, 2013.
